Sonoma Napa Fires Recovery Celebrated
By Lee Foster
More than 500 of us gathered two days before Thanksgiving at a long Grateful Table event in remote vineyards on the Sonoma Napa county line. Visit California organized this as a tribute to first responders in the Sonoma/Napa fires and the resilience of the wine country people. Chef Tyler Florence gave an impassioned salute to the first responders who prevented the fire tragedy from becoming an even greater catastrophe.

The long term effect of the fires will be something everyone will watch carefully.
Sonoma and Napa are among the most resilient and popular tourism areas of California.
Wine, food, history, and nature are all major attractions in the region.
I have written on both of these regions often and have sections on them in several of my books on California. You can Search “Sonoma” or “Napa” on my website at https://www.fostertravel.com and see many of these articles. The books can be seen on my Amazon Author Page.
Gradually, all the articles will be updated with a glance back at the fires and how they affected the region from a traveler’s point of view. It is not possible yet to predict the total effect of the fire.
However, at this event on the county line, you could see that huge energy will be focused on assisting Napa and Sonoma to make a full recovery.
